Dwann Holmes Olsen, dreams BIG dreams and has mad-crazy faith to believe they can all come true! She is the Chief Visionary & Chairman of the Marketplace Ministry D&C Multimedia Inc (www.dandcmultimedia.com) which originally started as D&C Productions in 1999.

Dwann has a passion to help ministries and non-profits, take their multimedia outreach to unimagined NEW levels. But, don't get her wrong, she loves working with corporate companies too. No wonder she is an award winning journalist and entrepreneur also named one of Ebony Magazine’s 2001, 30 Leaders of the Future, aged 30 and under.


In 2000 she accepted a writing award from the Tennessee Associated Press for her work as a reporter at the CBS affiliate in Nashville. During that same year, her company, D&C Productions won a Summit International Creative Award and received 3 EMMY nominations, all in less than 2 years of servicing clients. In September 2003 she was inducted into the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Gold Torch Alumni Society.

 

Throughout her career, Dwann has been a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and has won writing awards from NABJ, as well as the Nebraska Associated Press and Tennessee Associated Press. Her 10+ years as a broadcast journalist has taken her to jobs across the country. She has worked for television news operations in Savannah, Georgia, Lincoln, Nebraska, Omaha, Nebraska, Birmingham, Alabama and Nashville, Tennessee.

In her free time Dwann is often requested as an emcee and speaker, whose topics range from Marketplace Ministry (www.ministryinthemarketplace.com), Motherhood & Media, Diversity & Video Production 101.

While living in Nashville until late 2004, Dwann was an active board member for Kids on the Block of Middle Tennessee, Childcare Alliance, African American Heritage Society of Williamson County and a Steering Committee Member for (MEDWEEK) presented annually by Nashville Minority Business Center.

In November of 2002 she and her husband Shane Olsen were ordained as Deacon & Deaconess at Mt. Zion - Nashville, where she also served as a MIT (Minister In Training) under Bishop Joseph Walker III. In November of 2004 they were both ordained in the 5-fold ministry. She submits to the apostolic covering of Bishop Lewis and Pastor Sandra Jones of Global Dominion Impact Ministries Inc. Dwann flows heavily in the prophetic, healing & deliverance and has been married for 14 years to her college sweetheart, Shane Olsen, head golf professional at The Ocean Course at Hammock Ginn, They have 2 beautiful daughters.
